Skeeter Boat: Skeeter ZX 190 powered by a 150HP Evinrude HO E Tec. Sits neatly on a dual axle Easytow trailer. Boat has dual console for passenger comfort, a Powerpole shallow water anchor, 80lb Fortrex Minn Kota, Stealth charge on the run battery charging system and is wrapped in a snazzy Evinrude - Shimano wrap by Richard at X Factor signs.

I began bream fishing in the ABT tournaments about 7 years ago and after serving my time in a tinny I bought my first Skeeter, a SX 190 with a 150 HO E Tec. From there on it was full steam ahead as the bug had bitten and bitten hard. At the same time I was lucky enough to secure a spot with the team at BRP Evinrude and this association has continued with them to the present day. Two seasons on and I was ordering my second Skeeter, my current ZX 190. Between boats I landed a place with the Shimano/Squidgy team and again this proud association continues. I was also asked to join the Skeeter Pro Team and soon after was and still is teamed up with Powerpole and my battery/ Stealth charger sponsor Tuncurry Auto Electrical. I have had 1 ABT qualifier win, 5 top 10 finishes in superseries events, 7 top ten finishes in qualifing events, 4 bream mega bucks cheques, 3 Skeeter owners tournament wins, 6 bream grand final appearences, 2 final day bream grand final shootouts and 2 teams grand final appearences. My favourite places to fish are at home in Forster along with Taree, Yamba, the Hawkesbury river and Mallacoota. I love surface fishing in summer more than any other style and I also jump at the opportunity to chase bass at ST Calre and Glenbawn but the opportunity only comes up a couple of times a year.

Skeeter boats are number one on the market because they are built and finished to the highest standards, they are a strong, stable and reliable fishing platform, their before and after sales service is exceptional and they offer you everything you could ask for in one complete package.

My ZX 190 is the perfect size for my style of fishing. It is big enough to run long distances up the longest rivers to those seculed fishing spots and return home through rough weather or across a big bay if the weather blows up while remaining dry and safe. It is also small enough to slip through a maze of oyster leases as I often do. It doesn't draw much water either and this allows me to fish right up into the shallows and chase those big bream cruising the flats and shallow edges. The addition of a power pole has allowed me to target fish concentrated is a smaller area over the flats without being blown out of position by the wind or current. It is also very handy when leaving your boat on the shore to get your car and trailer if you are by yourself. My boat has a Stealth battery charger fitted which charges both my trolling batteries and the crank battery while the engine is running so I never need to plug in to 240v at comps or when i'm over at the bass dams. The Evinrude E Tec on my Skeeter is a 150 HO and is perfectly matched to my boat. It will comfortably rocket along at 60mph and the reliability, warranty, 300hr service interval and toughness of those engines is second to none. All in all my Skeeter is a pleasure to own and operate.
